Overview

A company page brings together one company's details, the deals linked to it, and the contacts whose email or website is on its domain. Edit the name and website here; linked deals keep their own company text. Follow-ups tracks company actions without requiring a deal or contact.

How to use this page

  1. Open a company

From Deals > Companies, click a company, or click the Company record link on a deal. All companies at the top returns to the list.

  2. Edit the name or website

In About, click Name or Website, type the change and press Enter or click away. Saving appears while it saves, and an error message explains anything that fails. The name cannot be left blank: if you clear it and click away, the saved name comes back and nothing is saved. A new website refreshes the contacts list.

  3. Review the deals

Deals lists each linked deal with its stage, sales rep, close date and amount. Click one to open it. Deal totals on the left show the deal count, open deals and value, and won value.

  4. See who works there

Contacts at this company lists your contacts whose email or website is on the company domain, with title and email. Archived contacts are marked. Click a contact to open it. This list is read only and never changes the contact.

  5. Add and manage a company follow-up

In Follow-ups below Contacts at this company, enter a New follow-up title, Due date and active client team member as Owner. Select Add follow-up and wait for Follow-up saved. No deal or contact is required. Use All owners or Assigned to me and the due-date filter to narrow the list. Edit / reschedule loads the title, date and owner into the form; select Save changes or Cancel. Complete finishes an action; choose Completed and Reopen to return it to the open list. Refresh reloads saved work. Company actions also appear in Deals > Follow-ups. Focus the dropdown and press Enter, Space or an arrow key to open it. Use Up and Down to move through choices, then Enter or Space to select. Home and End move to the first or last choice when an option has focus. If a search field appears, type to filter and press an arrow key to reach the choices. Escape closes without changing the selection and returns focus to the button. Tab closes and moves on. Reopening clears the search.

  6. Download company follow-up history

Open Download CRM history in Follow-ups. Choose Follow-ups (open and completed) or Follow-up change history, then select Download CSV. The file covers follow-ups linked directly to this company, including completed actions regardless of owner or due-date filters. It does not include follow-ups linked only to the company's deals or contacts. Times use UTC; company columns identify the linked record. Deal activity is not offered here.

Common questions

Open the deal and use its Company card: pick this company in Or link an existing company, or click Save as company when the deal has the same name or website.
Add a website first; contacts are matched by domain. If the website is set, none of your contacts use that domain yet. Contacts with free email addresses such as gmail.com are never matched.
It only appears for people who can see this client's Contacts page. If your access covers only your own work, it shows only your contacts.
The page shows the 200 most recently updated deals and up to 25 matched contacts. Search the domain on the Contacts page to see everyone.
No. Each deal keeps its own Company text. Only the company record changes.
The company belongs to another client, or you do not have access to it. Check which client is selected in the sidebar.
No. They track work for a person to do. Eligible client owners receive the same assignment and morning reminders as other CRM follow-ups. Assignment notices open this company's Follow-ups section. Assigning yourself sends no assignment notice. If the company becomes unavailable, the action remains manageable from Deals > Follow-ups.
Enter a title of up to 300 characters, a due date and an active client team member as Owner. If no owners are available, add a client user first. If someone changed the action elsewhere, select Refresh and edit its latest version. Check the owner and due-date filters, including Completed. Each view shows up to 500 matching actions; due dates use calendar days on your device.
No matching records produces a file with column headings only. Each file is limited to 10,000 rows or 20 MB; exceeding a limit shows an error instead of a partial download. Screen filters do not reduce it. Contact support if this company's history exceeds the limit. Follow-up change history contains saved task events only.
