Overview
Deal Reports is a live summary of the selected client's own deal pipeline. It shows the total open pipeline value, the weighted pipeline once your stages have win probabilities (each open deal's amount times its stage's win probability), open value broken down by stage and by owner, the win rate and deals won and lost by month for the selected period, and the lost deals grouped by reason. It reads your deals and never changes them, and it leaves out website leads that look like spam. Filter by current owner and closing dates. Select an owner row to open that owner's open deals, or a stage row to open the current pipeline for the report owner. Open it from Reports in the Deals sidebar group or the Reports button on the Deals page.
How to use this page
Open the report
Choose the client in the sidebar, then select Reports under Deals, or select Reports in the Deals page header. If no client is selected, the page asks you to pick one first. Select All deals at the top to go back to the pipeline.
Filter by current owner and closing dates
Choose All owners, No owner or a person in Current owner. Owner applies to every panel using the current assignment, including for past wins and losses. Enter both Closed from and Closed through, then select Apply filters. Both days are included, and the range may cover up to 12 calendar months. Leave both dates blank for the last 12 months, including the current month. Dates affect only won and lost results; open and weighted pipeline stay current. Applied filters remain in the page URL when you reload. Select Reset filters to return to all owners and the default period.
Read the totals
Below the filters, cards show Current open pipeline (value and number of open deals), Won, Lost and Win rate for the applied period. Win rate shows a percentage with up to one decimal place and the won and closed deal counts, or No closed outcomes when none match. Once any open stage has a win probability, a Current weighted pipeline card also appears, adding up each open deal's amount times its stage's win probability, set on Deal Stages. Open deals are every deal not in a won or lost stage, including deals with no stage. A deal with no amount counts as $0 but still counts as a deal.
See open pipeline by stage and owner
Current open pipeline by stage lists your open stages in the same order as the pipeline, with No stage last when any open deal has no stage. Current open pipeline by owner lists each deal owner by highest open value, with No owner last. Each row shows its value and deal count, and the bar shows its share. When no open deal has an amount, bars compare deal counts instead. Hover a row to see its full numbers. Rows with open deals show an arrow. Select an owner row to open the Deals board with only that owner's open deals (No owner opens Open without owner). Select a stage row to open the current pipeline for the applied report owner, with every stage still shown as a column. No owner opens Open without owner. Closing-date filters do not carry into this open-deal view. Once any open stage has a win probability, each row also shows its weighted value under the amount, and each stage row shows its win probability in brackets, or (no win %) when it has none. When open stages holding deals have no win probability, a note under the stage list says how many and links to Set win probability.
Review won and lost by month
The Won and lost by month table lists the months in the applied period, newest first, with Won, Won value, Lost and Lost value columns. The orange bar is won and the grey bar is lost. Each won or lost deal is counted in the month of its close date. A deal with no close date, or one still in a later month, is placed by another date instead: the month it last moved stage (a deal room signature counts as a move), or the month it was created. A note under the table says how many deals were placed this way and which time zone was used. With a date range, only outcomes from the starting day through the ending day count, including both days.
See why deals are lost
Lost by reason lists each reason given for the lost deals counted in the applied owner and date filters, with the number of deals and their value. The reason with the most lost deals comes first, and No reason given comes last. Reasons that differ only in capitals or spacing are counted together. When some lost deals have no reason, a note explains how to add one and links to the stages page, where the reason list is kept.
What the buttons do
- All deals
- Returns to the Deals pipeline.
- Stage and owner rows
- Rows with open deals open the Deals board. A stage row keeps the applied report owner and shows the current open pipeline across all stages. An owner row opens that owner's open deals; No owner opens Open without owner. Closing dates do not carry over. Empty rows are not links.
- Set win probability
- Link in the note under Current open pipeline by stage when an open stage with deals has no win probability. Opens Deal Stages, where you set it.
- Create a deal
- Shown when no deals match the applied owner, or when the client has no deals yet. Opens the Deals page with the new deal form already open.
- Retry
- Shown when the report could not load. Loads it again.
- Current owner
- Search for an owner present on this workspace's reportable deals, or choose All owners or No owner. Select Apply filters to use the choice across every panel. Focus the dropdown and press Enter, Space or an arrow key to open it. Use Up and Down to move through choices, then Enter or Space to select. Home and End move to the first or last choice when an option has focus. If a search field appears, type to filter and press an arrow key to reach the choices. Escape closes without changing the selection and returns focus to the button. Tab closes and moves on. Reopening clears the search.
- Closed from / Closed through
- Set an inclusive range for won and lost outcomes, up to 12 calendar months. Enter both or leave both blank. These dates do not change current open pipeline.
- Apply filters / Reset filters
- Apply filters loads the chosen owner and dates and updates the page URL. Reset filters immediately restores All owners and the last 12 months. Both remain available when results are empty or cannot load.
