Overview

Contact Enrich looks up a specific prospect by email or by first and last name, with an optional company. Review the match and copy available contact details into a record. Name-only searches return free previews. Email and name-plus-company searches attempt paid enrichment of up to five matches, but full details are not guaranteed. Client workspaces need a list building package.

How to use this page

  1. Choose how to search

Select By Email when you have an address, or By Name to search with first and last name. Add a company when you know it to narrow the matches.

  2. Enter the details

Enter Email Address, or First Name and Last Name with an optional Company. Check the spelling and company before running an email or name-plus-company lookup, since these searches attempt paid enrichment.

  3. Look up

Select Look Up or press Enter. Name-only searches return free previews. Email and name-plus-company searches attempt paid enrichment of up to five matches. If enrichment fails or returns no usable contact, the page shows preview matches instead. Look for the Enriched badge and review the available fields; the result count can be larger than the number of cards shown.

  4. Use the enriched details

Review the returned match. Use Copy email, Copy phone or Copy mobile beside a single value, or Copy all contact details at the bottom of the card for a clean, paste-ready block, then drop it into the prospect record or your outreach.

Copy email / Copy phone / Copy mobile
Copies that one value from the result card.
Copy all contact details
Copies the name, title, email, phone, mobile, LinkedIn, company and website as one plain text block.

Common questions

Use a known email to narrow the match, or use a name when that is all you have. Name-only searches return free previews. Email and name-plus-company searches attempt paid enrichment of up to five matches; check the returned identity before using any details.
Yes. Enter First Name and Last Name and leave Company blank. Review the free preview matches, then add the matching company or use a known email if you want to attempt paid enrichment. That new lookup may spend credits.
Try a work email instead of a personal one, spell out the full legal company name, and remove middle initials or punctuation from the name. A name-only search may return many results, so adding a company helps narrow it down.
Contact Search builds a list of many new prospects to ICP filters. Contact Enrich fills in details for one specific person you already know.
Email and name-plus-company lookups attempt paid enrichment, so client access requires a list building package. Name-only previews do not spend enrichment credits. If your workspace does not include list building, Contact Enrich is hidden from the Contacts menu, and opening its link shows a note saying it is part of list building. Ask your SalesHive team if you would like list building added. Self-serve workspaces do not include it either: the link is hidden, and opening its link shows a Not on your plan page that names the feature, lists what your plan includes and links back to Contacts. SalesHive team members can always use it.
A preview can appear when paid enrichment fails or returns no usable contact. The Enriched badge means enriched results were returned, but individual fields can still be missing. Missing details do not prove that no credits were spent. Check the identity and available fields first. A new email or name-plus-company lookup can spend credits again, so avoid repeatedly running the same search just to fill a missing field.
