Overview

Meeting Settings > Outcome Email manages the selected client's deal-wide post-meeting request to the assigned meeting owner. Set the timing, choose whether the request goes by email or posts in the client's linked Slack channel, edit the email subject and body, and send a safe preview. Emails send from SalesHive Notifications at notifications@saleshive.com, not from a client outreach mailbox. Internal SDRs are redirected to the read-only meeting-owner directory before these settings load. They cannot edit this configuration or send test messages. Other users keep their existing viewing and management permissions.

How to use this page

  1. Open Outcome Email

Go to Platform > Settings > Meeting Settings and select Outcome Email. This configuration belongs to the selected deal rather than an individual campaign. Internal SDRs are redirected to the active-owner directory; ask your manager or strategist about reminder or outcome-email changes.

  2. Enable and configure the request

With the required non-SDR employee management access: turn on Owner outcome email when needed, set Send after, pick how to send the request under Send the request by, then edit the subject and body. Select Save settings after reviewing the merge fields and one-use outcome-button note.

  3. Choose email or Slack

Email to the owner is the default and sends a private email. To post requests in the client's Slack channel instead, select the Slack option (it shows the channel name). It is only available once a client-facing Slack channel is linked for the client. In Slack, the request and its one reminder tag the owner when they are a channel member, and the saved outcome is added to the request's thread. If Slack cannot take the post, the email is sent instead.

  4. Understand the sender and recipient

The assigned active meeting owner is the only live recipient. Emails send from SalesHive Notifications at notifications@saleshive.com. SalesHive does not borrow a client Primary, SDR, Sender, cold-outreach, or warming mailbox, does not address the prospect, and does not add a client signature or use outreach volume.

  5. Review the deal-wide scope

The same configuration applies to eligible meetings across every campaign for the selected client, including contacts moved or re-enrolled into another campaign after the meeting was booked. Each meeting gets one request at most, plus one reminder if the outcome is still missing. Meetings held before the workflow is enabled, or more than 7 days ago, are not backfilled. Automatic requests and reminders stop while outreach is paused for the client, whether delivery is set to email or Slack.

  6. Send a test email

With the required non-SDR employee management access, enter a reviewed test recipient and select Send test. This sends a real email from SalesHive Notifications using the current subject and body, even when requests are set to Slack. Its test outcome form does not update meeting records.

Common questions

Only the assigned active meeting owner for the booked meeting. The prospect is never the recipient of this workflow.
Yes, per client. Once a client-facing Slack channel is linked for the client, a SalesHive team member can select the Slack option under Send the request by and save. The request and reminder post in that channel with the same secure outcome link and tag the owner when they are a channel member. Slack posts use standard wording, not the subject and body set here. When an outcome is saved, the answer is added to the request's thread (without notes). If no channel is linked or Slack refuses the post, the owner gets the email instead.
No client-facing Slack channel is linked for this client yet. Ask the SalesHive team to link one in Client Slack Notifications, then the option becomes available.
One of three outcomes, plus Outcome notes and next steps: Meeting Held, Meeting Not Held - Reschedule (SalesHive reaches out to book a new time), or Meeting Not Held - Rep Is Rescheduling (the rep sets the new time, so SalesHive does not reach out). The form does not ask for qualification or contract value, and values already saved on the meeting stay as they were.
Yes, once. If the meeting still shows Meeting Set or Rescheduled two days after the first request, the owner gets one reminder with a fresh outcome link, by email or in the Slack channel to match the delivery setting. Reminders only go out while client outreach is active, within 7 days of the meeting, and never on a weekend (Eastern time). Recording the outcome anywhere, such as the form, Booked Meetings or the dialer, stops it. The reminder uses its own standard wording, not the subject and body you set here.
The active global SalesHive Notifications mailbox at notifications@saleshive.com. The workflow never borrows a client outreach mailbox, appends a client signature, or consumes outreach volume.
Yes. The setting is deal-wide, so the meeting still qualifies whichever of the client's campaigns the contact is in now. The owner gets only one request (and at most one reminder) per meeting.
No. A test is a safe preview and does not update SalesHive.
Yes. Select the Update Meeting Outcome API link in the Owner experience note to open its developer documentation. With an API key, a client can send the outcome whenever their own follow-up is done. The API keeps its fuller documented outcome list, so it can record outcomes the form does not offer. It updates the meeting, fires the Zapier meeting-outcome event and notifies the SalesHive team. Notes are added to the meeting notes rather than replacing them. The API link is not shown in a self-serve workspace.
No. Client users can review the settings, but only SalesHive team members can turn the request on, switch between email and Slack, or change the wording. In a self-serve workspace, a submitted outcome updates the meeting in that workspace, and the page suggests using Get help if you want the email turned on or changed.
It moved from Campaign Detail settings to the selected deal's Meeting Settings, so all of that client's eligible campaigns use one configuration.
Internal SDRs receive a read-only Meeting Settings directory instead of reminder or outcome-email controls. Ask your manager or strategist to change these settings or arrange a test. This does not disable reminders already configured for the client.
