Overview

Pages lets you create private landing-page drafts and reopen compatible private or published pages for the selected client. Each draft has a heading, page copy, an optional website image and one lead form. Client users need the Client Admin role plus Inbound and Deals access; authorized SalesHive administrators can also use it. A website must already be set up. Saving does not publish the page or add it to website navigation. When publishing is enabled for your account and the website is live, you can publish the saved version after confirmation. Published content is read-only here until it returns to private.

How to use this page

  1. Open Pages for the right client

Select the client, open Inbound, then select Create and edit page drafts in Published site assets. If the website has not been set up, contact your SalesHive team before creating a draft.

  2. Start a draft or reopen a saved page

Select New page draft to start, or select a title under Saved pages to reopen its saved content. Each row shows its path and Private draft or Published status. When you have unsaved edits, starting another draft, opening a saved page or reloading asks you to confirm Discard edits. Cancel to keep editing.

  3. Write the page content

Fill in Page title, Page path, Heading and Page copy. Use plain text. Choose a unique path such as spring-demo, using lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens, without a leading slash. Existing paths and reserved website routes cannot be reused.

  4. Choose an optional image

Use Page image to choose an image from this website or leave No image selected. When an image is selected, fill in Image description for visitors who cannot see it. Manage website images opens the media library. The picker shows the latest 200 available website images; a loaded draft can retain its existing older image.

  5. Set the lead-form text

Set Form heading and Form button text, then add Form introduction if useful. Add Marketing email opt-in text (optional) only if you want an optional, unchecked marketing consent checkbox. Leave it blank to omit the checkbox. This editor changes the displayed form text; it has no visitor-field or custom-question controls.

  6. Preview and save privately

Review the Private content preview beside the editor and correct any Draft requirements below Save private draft. The preview shows content, cannot submit and does not reproduce the final website styling. Select Save private draft and wait for Draft saved privately. It is not live. Reopen the draft from Saved pages to check its saved content.

  7. Review and publish the saved page

Save your edits and review the saved content. When your account has publishing enabled and the website is live, select Publish saved page. Check the path in the confirmation, then select Publish page or Cancel. Publication makes that saved version visible to visitors without adding it to website navigation. Wait for Page published and the Published status.

  8. Return a published page to private

Open the published page. If Undo publication is available, select it and confirm to make the page private again while keeping its content. Wait for Publication undone before editing. Undo is unavailable if the page or website has changed since publication, to protect newer work.

  9. Recover an unconfirmed change

If a save, publication or undo cannot be confirmed, do not repeat the change. Copy any unsaved text you need, select Reload this saved page and review its saved content and publication status. You can also use Reload saved pages and reopen the page. Reloading may ask you to discard unsaved edits. If the selected client changed, refresh the page before editing. Do not create a replacement until you have checked what saved.

What the buttons do

New page draft
Starts a blank private draft. Unavailable without a website, while working or while a save or access problem needs recovery.
Reload saved pages
Refreshes the saved-page list and closes the current editor after any required discard confirmation. Open a page again to inspect its latest content and publication status.
Reload this saved page
Reads the current page again to check its saved content and publication status, including after an unconfirmed change. Asks before discarding unsaved edits.
Saved page title
Opens a compatible landing page. Its path and Private draft or Published label appear beside the title. Published content is read-only.
Page title / Page path / Heading / Page copy
Set the saved page title, unique path and visible heading and copy. All are required plain text.
Page image / Image description
Select an existing website image or No image. A description is required when an image is selected. Focus the dropdown and press Enter, Space or an arrow key to open it. Use Up and Down to move through choices, then Enter or Space to select. Home and End move to the first or last choice when an option has focus. If a search field appears, type to filter and press an arrow key to reach the choices. Escape closes without changing the selection and returns focus to the button. Tab closes and moves on. Reopening clears the search.
Manage website images
Opens the selected website media library.
Form heading / Form introduction / Form button text
Set the lead form heading, optional introduction and button label. The heading and button text are required.
Marketing email opt-in text (optional)
Adds an optional, initially unchecked marketing consent checkbox. Blank text omits it.
Save private draft
Saves valid content privately. Disabled for published pages, while working, when requirements are unmet, when recovery is needed or when a saved draft has no new edits.
Publish saved page / Publish page
Opens the publication confirmation, then publishes the saved version. Requires saved edits, publishing enabled for the account and a live website. Unavailable while working or when recovery is needed.
Undo publication
Asks for confirmation before returning the page to private with its content preserved. Available only for an unchanged page and website since the recorded publication.
Discard edits
Confirms leaving unsaved changes when starting, opening or reloading pages. Previously saved content stays available.
Back to Inbound
Returns to the Inbound overview. Save needed edits before leaving.

Common questions

No. Save private draft keeps the page private. Publish saved page is a separate confirmed action, available only when publishing is enabled for your account and the website is live. Publishing does not add a navigation link.
The list includes compatible private and published landing pages among the 200 most recently edited website pages. Other layouts and older pages outside that window are not listed.
You can reopen compatible published landing pages to review them, but their content and Save private draft are disabled. Use Undo publication when available to return a page to private before editing. Pages created with another layout cannot be edited here.
No. Visitor fields and the form button are disabled. The preview lets you review wording and the optional consent checkbox without creating a lead or sending anything.
Check Draft requirements for missing content, an invalid or reused path, or an image without a description. Published pages cannot be saved as drafts until returned to private. After a conflict or unconfirmed change, reload the saved page before trying again. A saved draft with no edits does not need another save.
No. The editor accepts plain text and images selected from this website media library. Use Manage website images to manage available images.
Publishing requires a live website, account availability and no unsaved edits or unresolved change. If the page says publishing is not available for your account yet, keep preparing private drafts. Undo is unavailable after a newer page or website change. Reload to inspect the current state; ask your SalesHive team for help if it remains unavailable.
Publishing stops without changing visibility. Ask your SalesHive team to resolve the form-name conflict, then reload and review the saved page before trying again.
