Overview

Playmaker captures the selected client strategy and materials. The full AI draft starts with the primary company website, researches relevant official pages, and carries supported language into the strategy. Your Notes for the draft and the client's Strategy documents take priority over public evidence, and unsupported private details remain marked for client input. Tabs and Hide completed change only the local editor view and browser address, so moving between sections does not remount the editor or interrupt a pending field save. Each field saves on its own short delay. Loading the page and its saved rich text does not count as an edit, so opening an unchanged Playmaker or switching tabs does not save untouched fields or create a false leave-page warning. A persistent error banner keeps failed edits on the page and provides Retry save. If a teammate saved newer text in a field you edited after your page loaded, Playmaker does not overwrite it, and you choose which version to keep. SalesHive warns before leaving only when edits are genuinely unsaved or a save failed. SDR, SDR Manager, and responder lanes use the client-style read-only preview. A named incoming SDR for a scheduled takeover receives a temporary Prep entry in the client switcher. Selecting it opens the correct account in read-only preparation mode without replacing the SDR's normal selected client. The same preparation scope includes read-only Playbook and Documents review. Client Materials accepts MP3 call recordings for authorized opening or download without adding them to extracted Playmaker text.

How to use this page

  1. Work in the selected client's Playmaker

Choose a client and complete or review the strategy sections. Client Materials is explicitly scoped to this rendered deal.

  2. Open a scheduled takeover prep account

If you are the named incoming SDR, select the account labeled Prep with its takeover date. SalesHive opens its read-only Playmaker. Navigation between Playmaker, Playbook and Client Briefs keeps the same preparation account; Client Briefs also supports PDF download. This does not change your working assignment or calling access. The preparation account becomes unavailable if the takeover is cancelled, ended or assigned to someone else.

  3. Ground the draft in the company website

Open Draft this from the company website, confirm the Company name and Primary company website, and add Notes for the draft (optional) on what the company sells, its best-fit buyer, important proof or differentiators, and anything SalesHive should avoid claiming or targeting. The website supplies public evidence. Your notes and the documents in the Strategy section of Client Materials take priority.

  4. Fill every strategy section with AI

Select Fill out every strategy section and keep the page open while Playmaker researches relevant official pages and drafts each section. It drafts only empty fields and fields still marked Client input needed, so answers already filled in are kept. The sticky progress panel shows which section is running, how many sections are saved, elapsed time, and whether a section could not be completed. Completed sections save automatically, and the finish message says how many existing answers were kept. Review the specific product, audience, proof, and offer language when the run finishes, complete private details marked Client input needed, and use a section button to retry any unsuccessful section.

  5. Paste content cleanly

Paste source material into a rich text field when needed. SalesHive normalizes imported document-specific fonts, colors, headings, and bold styling at paste time, and collapses empty Word or Docs spacer rows plus stacked line breaks so sentences stay adjacent. Existing saved content and formatting you intentionally apply with the editor controls stay as they are until you paste or select Reformat.

  6. Reformat an existing rich text field

Select Reformat in that field's toolbar to apply Playmaker's standard readable styling to its current content, including collapsing empty spacer rows. It saves through the field's normal auto-save boundary only when the cleanup changes the content.

  7. Use presentation mode for a staff-led kickoff

Staff can enter the focused presentation view when they need a cleaner kickoff experience. It is reversible, so leaving the mode restores normal Platform navigation.

  8. Keep navigation while working

Both client and staff viewers retain the shared Platform navigation while using Playmaker. Only staff can temporarily hide it with presentation mode during a kickoff.

  9. Log in with the connected client account

If a client opens a Playmaker that is not available to their current account, select Log in and use the work email connected to the client account. SalesHive returns the client to that same Playmaker after login.

  10. Add client materials

Authorized editors can use Client Materials to upload supported files, including PowerPoint PPT and PPTX decks and MP3 call recordings, create a Google or Office file, or add a reference link. To save a link, select Add link in Lists, Strategy or Links, enter a complete http(s) URL and an optional name and note, then press Enter in a form field or select Add link. A missing URL shows an error; correct it and submit again. Cancel link closes the form without saving. MP3 recordings can be opened or downloaded but are not transcribed into Playmaker text. The embedded materials library always stays tied to this rendered Playmaker deal. Scheduled takeover preparation viewers can open, download, and refresh Lists and Strategy material, but cannot upload, create, add links, edit, or delete. Internal SDRs also always see a simplified read-only materials table with Updated dates, resource links and Refresh, without extraction or editing controls. Ask your strategist to add or correct materials. Existing screenshots show editor controls that are unavailable in this SDR view.

  11. Confirm that edits are saved

Open or refresh Playmaker without editing when you only need to review it. Saved server content, including blank rich text fields and the loaded website or notes values, does not create an unsaved state. When you do edit, watch the status bar. Each field saves independently after a short pause or when you leave the field. If you change a field back to its saved text before it saves, nothing is sent. Switching section tabs or changing Hide completed updates the browser address without remounting the editor, so an in-flight field save can finish normally. Press Ctrl+S to save any changes that have not saved yet. If a save fails, your edits stay on the page, the error banner explains the failure, and Retry save sends your unsaved and failed changes again. SalesHive warns before a real page exit only when edits remain unsaved or a save failed.

  12. Choose a version when a teammate saved first

If you edit a field that a teammate saved newer text in after your page loaded, SalesHive does not save your edit over theirs. Fields you only viewed never appear in this banner. A banner lists each affected field, and your text stays on the page. For each field, select Use their version to replace your text with the teammate's saved text, or Keep mine to save your text over it. That field stops auto-saving until you choose. Your other fields keep saving normally.

  13. Use a read-only Playmaker preview

SDR, SDR Manager, and responder lanes see the client-style Playmaker preview and cannot change fields or run AI generation. If you need to make strategist edits, switch out of the SDR or responder view and reopen the same client.

What the buttons do

Fill out every strategy section
Researches relevant pages on the primary company website and drafts the empty strategy fields using public evidence plus your higher-priority Notes for the draft and Strategy documents. Answers already filled in are kept. The button stays unavailable while the full run is active.
Open website
Opens the Primary company website in a new tab so you can confirm that the correct official site is selected before drafting.
Playmaker generation status
Sticky progress panel that reports the active section, saved count, elapsed time, progress, and current status. Completed sections are saved automatically.
Help me fill just this section
Drafts only the current strategy section. If some answers there are already filled in, it first asks whether to Replace answers or keep them (Only fill empty fields, or Keep my answers when every field is filled). It is unavailable while a full Playmaker generation run is active.
Rich text editor
Accepts pasted content and keeps the editor's readable formatting. Empty spacer rows from Word or Docs collapse on paste, while editor controls remain available for intentional formatting.
Reformat
Applies Playmaker's standard readable styling to the current rich text field, including collapsing empty spacer rows, and saves it only when the content changes.
Presentation mode
Staff-only control for a reversible focused Playmaker view during a client kickoff.
Exit presentation mode
Restores the regular staff workspace navigation.
Opens the client-account sign-in flow when the current client account cannot view this Playmaker.
Copy Share Link
Copies the appropriate Playmaker link for the selected client.
Choose Files / Create
Uploads supported client materials, including PowerPoint PPT and PPTX decks and MP3 call recordings, or creates a Google or Office file in the selected Client Materials section.
Add link
Opens a reference-link form in the Playmaker deal's shared library. Select Add link inside the form or press Enter in a field to save; Cancel link closes it without saving.
Save status bar
Shows Saving changes, Changes saved, Save failed, Changes waiting to save, or Changes are auto-saved. Ctrl+S saves any changes that have not saved yet.
Retry save
Appears in the save error banner and resends your unsaved and failed changes without discarding the edits still on the page.
Use their version
Appears in the teammate conflict banner. Replaces your text in that field with the teammate's newer saved text.
Keep mine
Appears in the teammate conflict banner. Saves your text in that field over the teammate's newer version.
Prep [date]
Opens the scheduled takeover account for read-only preparation without activating the takeover or changing your working assignment.

Common questions

Add what the company sells, the best-fit buyer, important proof or differentiators, and any claim or target SalesHive should avoid. Your notes and Strategy documents are primary inputs. When sources conflict, the AI is instructed to leave out the disputed claim and ask a direct client question or use Client input needed, rather than put source comparisons or employee discussion in the strategy. Review the draft and resolve the missing facts.
It starts with the primary company website and inspects relevant official product, service, use case, industry, case study, customer story, offer, resource, documentation, and company pages. It uses reputable third-party sources only to corroborate or fill a gap. It also reads up to 25 of the newest documents with readable text in the Strategy section of Client Materials and treats their facts like your notes. For each section it reads the start of every long document plus the passages that match that section, such as buyers, titles, pains and objections for Personas, so details deep in a large file are still found. Documents that best match the section are read first. Files set to Internal only, Lists, Links, DNC Lists, Client Provided Contact Lists, and MP3 recordings are not used.
No. Unsupported private facts stay marked Client input needed. Strategic choices can be proposed directly, but they cannot contain unsupported claims about the company. In Low Hanging Fruit, Events is drafted only when the research or your notes name an event, and Cold Opportunities/Leads stays Client input needed unless your notes name them.
Yes. Check that the selected website belongs to the company you want drafted. The website decides the company, so an account whose name differs from the website, such as a sales partner or agency, gets a draft for the website's company. Review each saved section, and complete private commercial details, kickoff contacts, email domains, and other client-only setup information.
Not unless you choose to. Fill out every strategy section only drafts empty fields and fields marked Client input needed, and a Client input needed draft never replaces real text. A section button asks before replacing answers in that section. The AI also reads the answers already saved, including Kick-off Checklist and Client Materials answers such as the DO NOT CONTACT List and Sales Rep(s), so its drafts stay consistent with them. Every AI change is saved under your name in the History tab, so earlier text can be found there.
TARGET OR INFLUENCER and DEPARTMENT are dropdowns, so the AI saves only one of their options. When its draft names more than one, such as TARGET or INFLUENCER or a list of departments, it leaves that dropdown as it was for you to choose. A single department that is not on the list is saved as Other.
No. It is a staff-only, reversible view for presenting during a kickoff. Client viewers retain normal Platform navigation while working in Playmaker.
No. It only changes the surrounding workspace view. Playmaker content remains auto-saved as usual.
Client Materials accepts TXT, PDF, CSV, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, WEBP, and MP3 files up to 25MB each. You can also create a Google Sheet, Google Doc, Excel workbook, or Word document, or add a link. MP3 recordings are stored as audio for authorized users to open or download, but they are not transcribed into Playmaker text. PPTX uploads provide slide text and speaker notes. PPT files are stored, but their text cannot be read; save them as PPTX or PDF and upload that version. For a deck made of pictures, export it as PDF and upload the PDF for picture reading.
Imported document-specific fonts, colors, headings, and bold styling are normalized at paste time so the editor stays readable. Empty Word or Docs spacer rows and stacked line breaks collapse so pasted sentences stay together. Existing saved content and formatting you intentionally apply with the editor controls are not changed by that paste cleanup.
It runs the current field through the same standard styling cleanup used for pasted content, including collapsing empty spacer rows. It does nothing when the field is already in that format, and otherwise saves the cleaned result.
While a full run is active, it shows the current section, how many sections have saved, elapsed time, progress, and a status message. Finished sections are saved automatically, and the panel tells you when a section needs a retry.
No. The individual section buttons are unavailable until the full run finishes, which prevents overlapping drafts.
The current client account is not authorized for that Playmaker. Select Log in and use the work email connected to the client account. After sign-in, SalesHive returns you to the same Playmaker.
They always belong to the deal rendered by this Playmaker, not a different or stale switcher selection.
Keep the page open and select Retry save. Your current edits remain in the browser, and Retry save sends only the changes that have not saved yet. When the status returns to Changes saved or Changes are auto-saved, it is safe to leave. The browser warns before leaving when edits are genuinely unsaved or a save failed.
Someone else saved a field you edited after your page loaded, often from another open tab or browser. To protect their work, your edit to that field was not saved. Your text is still on the page. Choose Use their version or Keep mine for each listed field.
SDR, SDR Manager, responder, and scheduled takeover preparation lanes use the client-style read-only preview. A named incoming SDR can review the Prep account before activation but cannot change Playmaker, Playbook, or Documents. Authorized strategist and other staff views keep editing and AI generation controls.
Yes. Section tabs and Hide completed update the local view and browser address without remounting the editor. The pending field save continues, and tab switching alone does not save untouched fields or trigger a leave-page warning.
Opening or refreshing Playmaker loads saved server content without treating it as a new edit. The leave-page warning appears only after a real unsaved change or a failed save.
You are the named incoming SDR for a dated scheduled takeover. Selecting it opens read-only preparation documents. Playmaker, Playbook and Client Briefs keep that account as you navigate between them. This does not activate or reschedule the takeover, change your working assignment or grant calling access.
No. Internal SDR document access stays read-only after activation. You can review permitted resources, open files, download originals and refresh the materials list. Ask your strategist to add or update a resource.
A self-serve workspace does not use the managed onboarding pages. In a self-serve workspace, the Onboarding folder shows only Get set up, Users, and the Deal Room while a managed proposal is open. Playmaker, Playbook, Documents and Google Drive are hidden, and opening one takes you to Get set up, or to Contacts if you cannot open the checklist.
