Overview

Campaign Context (Tools > Campaign Context, where Calling Scripts used to be) puts every campaign's Calling Context and Email Context in one place for the selected client. Callers, the teleprompter and the Email Sender Agent still read each campaign's own context; this page edits them in place with the same editors as the campaign's Calling context and Email context sections. You can also choose which campaign new campaigns copy their context from, and copy one campaign's context to others. Each campaign's call script stays at the top of its Calling Context, under CALL SCRIPT. Pick a client first; without one the page asks you to select a client. SalesHive staff, Self-serve and Platform Only clients can edit. Other client logins can read the contexts. Their default picker is read-only, and Copy to campaigns and Make default are hidden.

How to use this page

  1. Pick a campaign

The left list shows the client's campaigns (archived ones are left out, except the Playbook campaign). Each row shows tags: Playbook, Live or Paused, Calling or No calling, and Email or No email, so you can spot missing context at a glance. A star marks the default for new campaigns. Select a campaign to open its context on the right.

  2. Edit the Calling Context or Email Context

Use the Calling Context and Email Context tabs above the editor. Each works exactly like the matching section on the campaign. The context shows one numbered card per section, each with a note on what belongs there and a character count; select a card's header to collapse or expand it, and use its toolbar for part headings, bold, italic and lists, and Fields to insert a prospect field or a contact custom field as {CF:Field Name}. In Sections view, Call script and Objection handling distinguish words to say from guidance in square brackets. Keep coaching instructions in brackets, such as [Pause for an answer]. Bracketed notes are shaded; a note on its own line also shows a Note label. Both script and notes remain editable. The styling does not change the saved text, and Markdown shows the brackets as plain text. Save, generate or regenerate, set how customized each call or email is and the email tone, and try it with Test teleprompter or Test emails. Calling Context generation omits voicemail sections, scripts and instructions from older source copy or guidance, while keeping your Additional information as written. A manual save does not remove existing voicemail text. Open campaign takes you to that section on the campaign itself. Select History to see every saved version with who changed it (for an agent, its reason and who approved it), and Show changes for the lines added and removed.

  3. Import email copy from a file

In Email Context, select Upload file. Choose a PDF, Word (.docx), TXT or Markdown file up to 10 MB. Review and edit the extracted text, then select Add to draft. Email steps and labeled sections are added to their matching sections; other background goes into Email campaign. Existing draft text stays in place. Review the combined sections, then select Save email context. Uploading or adding text to the draft does not save it or send an email. Cancel closes the upload without adding its text.

  4. Choose the default for new campaigns

In Default for new campaigns, pick a campaign, or None (new campaigns start empty). Focus the dropdown and press Up or Down to open it. If a search field appears, type to narrow the choices, then press Up or Down to enter the options. Use Up/Down to move, Home/End to jump to the first/last option, and Enter or Space to choose. Escape closes the menu without changing the value and returns focus to its button. Tab closes it and moves on. Reopening clears the search. Choosing an option saves the default immediately; wait for the confirmation. From then on, each new campaign for this client copies that campaign's Calling Context and Email Context, with their customization levels, email tone and email limit per prospect, when it is created. You can also select a campaign and choose Make default. Later edits to either campaign stay separate.

  5. Copy a context to other campaigns

Select the source campaign and choose Copy to campaigns. Tick Calling Context, Email Context or both, then tick the campaigns to copy to (Select all picks every other campaign). Each row says whether the copy adds or replaces that campaign's context, and a warning counts campaigns whose own text will be replaced. Choose Copy to N campaigns. The replaced text stays in each campaign's change history.

  6. Practice the campaign

On the Email Context tab, choose Practice call at the top to roleplay this campaign with your manager or an AI playing the prospect, using the live teleprompter. It works before launch and never counts toward campaign stats.

What the buttons do

Default for new campaigns
Picks the campaign whose Calling Context and Email Context every new campaign copies when it is created. None means new campaigns start empty. Read-only for client logins that cannot edit context.
Campaign list
Every campaign for the client with Playbook, status, Calling and Email tags. A star marks the current default.
Calling Context / Email Context tabs
Switch the editor between the selected campaign's calling and email context.
Sections / Markdown
Editors only. Switches the context between section cards and the exact saved Markdown. Both edit the same single document, which is kept in the section layout when you save. Your choice is remembered in this browser.
History / Hide history
Sits in the header of the Calling Context and the Email Context, and works the same in both. It swaps the editor for a list of every saved version, newest first, 25 at a time (Show older changes loads more). Each change shows who made it: Edited by a person, Generated by the person who pressed Generate, Restored by, a SalesHive update, or an Agent. An agent's change names the agent, who approved it and the Reason the agent gave; select the agent's name to open its chat beside the page. Show changes lists the lines added and removed, with unchanged lines folded. People who can edit the context also get Put this version in the editor, which loads that version into the editor without saving; review it, then save to keep it. Hide history returns to the editor.
Copy to campaigns
Opens the copy dialog for the selected campaign. Unavailable when it has neither context yet.
Make default
Makes the selected campaign the default for new campaigns. Hidden when it already is.
Open campaign
Opens the campaign on its Calling context or Email context section, matching the tab you are on.
Practice call
Shows at the top on the Email Context tab. Opens a practice call for the selected campaign, where your manager or an AI plays the prospect while you read the live teleprompter.
Upload file / Add to draft
For context editors in Email Context. Upload file opens a text preview; Add to draft appends the reviewed text to the current draft. Save separately to keep it.

Common questions

Separate calling scripts are retired. Each campaign's call script sits at the top of its Calling Context, under CALL SCRIPT, followed by OBJECTION HANDLING, COMPANY INFORMATION and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. This page took its place in Tools as the one spot to manage every campaign's context. Saved scripts were merged into the top of each campaign's context, and the earlier context stays in change history, which you can open with History.
No. The default is only copied when a new campaign is created, both from New Campaign and when an agent creates a campaign. After that, the new campaign's context is its own, and editing either campaign does not change the other.
That campaign is skipped so their edit is not overwritten. The message after copying says how many changed meanwhile or could not be updated, so you can open them and check.
Managed client logins can read the contexts but leave Playbook notes for their SalesHive team to make changes. Platform Only and Self-serve accounts can edit, choose a default and copy context when their user role allows campaign management. This includes older active Platform Only accounts.
In the Objection handling card (section 2) of the Calling Context, right below the call script. Give each objection its own part heading, then write what the caller says.
No. The cards are views of one Markdown document, the same text callers, the teleprompter and agents read. Saving puts it back in the section layout, sorting headings into place without changing your wording. Client logins that cannot edit see one read-only card per filled section.
SalesHive compares meeting lengths written in the Calling Context and Email Context, including common spelled-out lengths such as fifteen minutes and statements such as the calendar reserves 30 minutes. It reads the context text, not the calendar itself. People who can edit the context see a note above either editor when both name lengths and none match. Proof-point savings and lengths the text rules out do not count. If either context names no length, there is no note. Check the agreed duration in the Playbook or with your SalesHive team, then edit whichever context is wrong and save it. The note never blocks calling or sending.
Put it in square brackets on its own line, never inside a line the caller says, and start with a one-sentence instruction such as [Pause here and let them answer.]. Callers see it in the Dialer as a Note set apart from the script. A long note shows only that first sentence until the caller selects More, so put call examples, dates or client feedback after it. The teleprompter still reads the whole note. Callers can also hide every note, and any bracketed text inside a line such as [Optional:], with the Notes switch above the context, so never put words they must say inside brackets.
When the prospect finishes dictating an email address, the Teleprompter suggests reading it back and asking "Is that right?" It uses the spoken spelling, dots, digits and domain in order, even when the saved address differs. While they are still spelling, let them finish; if part is unclear, ask about that part instead of guessing. A short acknowledgment from you does not discard the earlier spelling. The readback contains no promise to send, sales question or goodbye. The test uses the same guidance as the live reader. Check the suggestion against your test conversation. Nothing is sent and no contact is updated.
Use Keep the call going to test a conversation, then Reset to start over. The Teleprompter uses what was actually said: an introduction followed by a simple confirmation should continue to the reason for calling, and a question about the call's purpose should get the approved explanation. Each question fresh normally tests a question after a generated opener. The suggestions keep corrections from the conversation. If someone no longer works there, use only the replacement name or role actually supplied, or ask who handles the topic. Do not ask for the departed person to call back. If the prospect says they are driving but explicitly says they can talk, answer briefly without asking them to read, type or open a calendar. A request to stop or end the call takes priority. A recorded voicemail greeting calls for no suggested reply, message, callback request, notice or disposition advice. Because this text test expects a reply, silence can produce an unavailable or no-reply error. Test a live conversation to continue; do not treat the error as a voicemail script. Check each suggestion against the conversation and Calling Context. The test never dials anyone.
Only selectable PDF text is imported. A scanned PDF with no readable text is refused; a partly scanned PDF may import only some pages, so compare the preview with your file. Export with selectable text or paste the copy instead. Empty files, unsupported formats and files over 10 MB are refused. Shorten the file or draft if the combined context exceeds 50,000 characters.
