Overview

Email History is the selected client's outbound email audit trail. Filter and open sent emails, compare email step performance, then export the current view with delivery and engagement details. The performance table follows the active date range, campaign, sender, and search filters. It groups emails by type (Email Sender Agent, Potential Follow-up and After Call Agent first, then older Auto-Cadence, Post-Call and other types), step and template variant, then shows sent volume plus open, click, reply, bounce, and unsubscribe counts and rates. Reply status reflects campaign-attributed human responses and excludes automated or system classifications.

How to use this page

  1. Select the client and date range

Choose the client. With no dates in the link, the page opens a 30-day window ending on the latest campaign email, including imported history. If there are no campaign emails, the window ends today. Links with a date range keep those dates. Set From date and To date to change the window; Updating date range appears while the results reload. Days run on Eastern Time, the same calendar as the Outbound Dashboard. The header shows emails in view, recipients reached, and Sent by agents: how many emails in view the Email Sender Agent, the Email Responder's Potential Follow-ups and the After Call Agent sent. Self-serve workspaces see Campaigns in view instead of Sent by agents.

  2. Filter and search

Expand Campaign and sender, then choose All Campaigns or All senders to narrow the list. Use Search emails to find a contact name, company, recipient address, sender address, or subject. These filters reset pagination. Clear filters removes the search, campaign and sender selections while keeping the dates. Focus the dropdown and press Up or Down to open it. If a search field appears, type to filter, then press Up or Down to enter the options. Within the options, use Up/Down to move, Home/End to jump to the first/last choice, and Enter or Space to select. Escape closes the menu without changing the value and returns focus to its button. Tab closes it and moves on. Reopening clears the search.

  3. Compare email step performance

Expand Email step performance after setting the date range and filters. It starts collapsed and appears when matching emails exist. On phones, each group displays labeled metrics instead of a wide table. Each row groups one email type, step, and template variant. Sent is the denominator for the open, click, reply, bounce, and unsubscribe rates. Reply counts emails with at least one attributed human response, not the total number of reply messages. Email Sender Agent emails are numbered by their place among the emails that contact has had from the campaign, and Potential Follow-up emails by follow-up number. After Call Agent emails, manual sends and older rows without step data show One-off in the Step column.

  4. Read and sort emails on a computer

Scroll the table sideways to see Contact, Company, To, From, Subject, Preview, Type, Step, Campaign, Sent by, and Sent. Select a contact name for the contact record or select elsewhere in the row for the sent-email preview. Select a sortable column heading to change the order, then select it again to reverse direction. The list starts with newest sends first.

  5. Read emails on a phone

Each email appears as a card with its type, sent time, subject, contact, and any company or message preview. Tap the subject to open the sent-email preview or the contact name to open the contact record. Expand Email details for To, From, Campaign, Sent by, and Step. Use Sort emails and the direction arrow to change the order. Both layouts show up to 50 emails per page; use the page arrows below the list for more.

  6. Interpret reply status

A reply is counted only when the campaign-attributed inbound message is a human response. Shwarming, Auto Reply, Internal, Out Of Office, Undeliverable, Ignore, Ignore Contact, and Ignore Global classifications are excluded from replied totals and per-email reply status.

  7. Export the current view

Set the date range, filters and sort order, then select Export CSV. To include stored message content, first select Include full HTML body. The CSV then adds Full body HTML, Full body plain text and Full body available columns. Missing bodies have blank content and No in Full body available; the saved Preview remains. The file includes every matching row across pages, summary metrics and per-email delivery and engagement timestamps. Wait while Exporting... appears. Export is unavailable with no matching emails or while the date range updates. If an export fails or the selected client changes, reload Email History and try again.

What the buttons do

From date / To date
Sets the sent-email reporting window using Eastern Time calendar days. With no dates supplied, it starts with 30 days ending on the latest campaign email, or today if there are none.
Campaign and sender / Search emails
Expand Campaign and sender for All Campaigns and All senders. Search emails narrows by contact, company, recipient or sender address, or subject.
Export CSV
Downloads all filtered and sorted results with summary metrics and engagement fields. Shows Exporting... while preparing the file; unavailable with no results, during export or while dates update.
Include full HTML body
Adds stored full HTML, plain text and an availability flag to the CSV. Starts unchecked and cannot change during export. It does not change the on-screen preview.
Contact name
Opens the matching contact record without opening the email viewer.
Email step performance
Expands or collapses sent volume and engagement counts and rates for each email type, step, and template variant, using the current filters.
Email details
Expands the recipient and sender addresses, campaign, sender name and step on a mobile email card.
Sort emails / Direction arrow
On phones, choose a sort field and switch between ascending and descending order. On computers, use column headings. Sorting returns to the first page.
Clear filters
Clears search, campaign and sender filters without changing the date range.
First / Previous / Next / Last page
Moves through results when more than 50 emails match.

Common questions

No. It exports all matching rows across the current filtered results, in the selected sort order, not just the visible page.
A campaign-attributed human inbound message. Automated and system classifications are excluded.
The summary includes opened, clicked, replied, bounced and unsubscribed counts and rates. Each row includes the related status and timestamp fields. Include full HTML body also adds stored HTML, plain text and Full body available. No means the full content is not available in the saved message, not that sending failed.
It shows the actual sender using the SDR mailbox owner, shared alias display name, or recorded send-log user when needed. The All senders list shows the client's assigned SDRs. In a Self-serve workspace it shows your active teammates plus anyone who sent the emails in view, so a teammate who has left can still be filtered.
No. The table recalculates from the same date range, campaign, sender, and search filters applied above it.
The email has no step number, for example an After Call Agent email or a manual send. Step performance and mobile Email details label it One-off; the desktop sent-email table shows a dash. It stays in reporting under its email type without a guessed step.
Email step performance counts sent emails that received at least one attributed human response. Multiple replies to one email still count that sent email once in the reply rate.
They are emails the campaign agents sent. Email Sender Agent is a campaign email from the Email Sender Agent. Potential Follow-up is a follow-up to an Interested or Asked for Info prospect; the Email Responder sends these now, and older ones came from the Email Agent (the Email Sender Agent's old name). After Call Agent is an email sent after a call. Together they make up the Sent by agents count in the header.
Emails sent on the Dashboard also counts emails sent straight from your connected mailboxes. Email History lists campaign sends only, so when there are mailbox sends in your dates a note under the filters says how many and links to the Email Inbox, where you can read them.
The message preview removes SalesHive open-tracking images, changes SalesHive tracked links to their direct destinations and disables unsubscribe links in the message body. Embedded images are omitted, with an "Embedded images are not included in this preview" notice when detected. This changes only the preview, not the stored or delivered email. If the full body has not synced, the window shows the saved snippet and a notice instead.
